The Chrome OS is great if all you want to do is solely use Google products. No iTunes, no Mozilla firefox browser, no running .exe files. Why didn't Google want to compete with Microsoft, and the Mac Book? They had so much potential to compete with other operating systems, so I just wonder why they didn't. Maybe the're in their infancy of creating a great OS. Maybe the Operating system platform is changing to become more individualized to the company, and we will see a lot more computers emerging specifically designed for their company's products.
I am running into all kinds of pitfalls using my Chromebook in my college classes. I can't use my computer to join a collaboration session at the end of the class which is to be performed on-line. My iPad can use an app for blackboard collaborate so I will be able to get into my class session with the iPad.
I really like Google, they have so much potential, most people like Google. It's just disappointing to see the Operating system didn't reach its full potential.
